I agree with Jeff, I have to see Microsoft Flight in action. I have REX and some other add-ons to my MS FSX now. Will this new version actually be better than that? I would need to load a free shortened beta version on my computer to see how good it really is.

Looks good. Looks very good. But you would expect that, wouldn't you? Why would Microsoft release preliminary screen shots that scared people away? The question is, for me, whether they look better than screen shots from previous competitors like Fly II, for example.

But if I were to rate a flight simulator on how well it depicted scenery, I personally would give that 15% of the overall score. Realism, performance, configuration, missions and aircraft selection would make up the remaining 85%. For example, what's the point of excellent visuals running at 5 fps?

So the finished or the beta product needs to be seen in action for a realistic assessment.
