I would wonder why the approach took them across the runway midfield. Why wouldn't they be directed into an approach than allowed them to turn into the runway. This seems a big waste of time. Safety is somewhat lowered as well because this seemed to be a VFR landing, and the pilot could not keep the landing strip in sight until just seconds before the landing. Note the traffic alarm during the second last turn? There is no way that that pilot could be sure that the runway is clear, and that there is no traffic on the approach or departure paths. In my opinion this seems to be a badly planned landing, but then I am not a pilot. Anyone else have an opinion, a real pilot perhaps?
Even for an experienced pilot, that one it's a challenge.
