Editorial

The Bell AH-1 Cobra is a well-known helicopter due to the fact that it has served for so long. It first hit the skies in the late 1960s, coming into play in 1967 and is still being used to this day. It has served in various military theatres for the USAF, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, the Republic of Korea Army and the Royal Jordanian Air Force.

A considerably improvement over its Bell UH-1 Iroquois predecessor, the Cobra quick gained a positive name for itself on the battlefield for being a fierce and dedicated competitor in any combat environment.

For a time, it served as the main backbone of the US Armies helicopter fleet, offering an incredible range of versatility and power in the battlefield. Whilst it has been slowly replaced by the AH-64 Apache, the Cobra still carries a fearsome reputation the world over. Many nations are using more modernized equivalents that still provide a considerable range of firepower and make expert aircraft for keeping positions safe and secure.

In fact, the Marine Corps still make use of a double-engine version of this aircraft and deploy it as their primary attack helicopter. These aircraft, though, are not without use when they are considered out of date; in the past, they have served as a solution for helping fight forest fires.

The Bell has served for many years as a reliable and healthy part of many Air Forces and for this reason it is respected fiercely on the battlefield. It has been used for many different operations across the years, serving the likes of America, Israel, Jordan, Japan, Turkey and Pakistan. For each country it has served a diligent and strong role at the forefront of what has to be achieved with a detailed, effective range of service options.

The aircraft has been perfectly represented in this package, managing to capture the depth and detail of the design perfectly. If you always wanted to see what the detail inside an aircraft like this would be then we recommend checking this out.

As far as effective aircraft go, very few can produce the depth needed to compete with the Cobra. It might be rendered obsolete by some these days but thanks to its lengthy service record, the helicopter still is used for many purposes across the globe. This will help you really see just how detailed and effective something like this could have been back in the day.

Flight dynamics and the overall style of the aircraft has been more or less the main concern for many years, and this package manages to capture the classy nature of the Cobra perfectly. It’s an easy fit to fly with as well, offering speed and versatility in abundance as well as making sure you can have the fun that you need in taking the whole thing an extra stage further.

As far as design and details go, this really does manage to capture the entire package and will represent the perfect opportunity to try out the Cobra for the first time.

HUD isn't working for me, nor is the chain gun. The HUD is kind of a big deal, not airspeed.

Great looking bird. I just need to figure out the flight dynamics I have a hard time picking up forward speed.

This is super fun to fly, however there's a huge black square where it looks like there should be a HUD
