For details, click on Read More.Australian Sceneries is proud to present our brand new scenery Mountain Retreat. Mountain Retreat is our first scenery product of many to come. The airfield is located west about 30 minutes flying time from Sydney.
Mountain Retreat is situated 3600 feet above sea level, which allows flying almost every day of the year as the weather is usually below the runway. In the event of fog or heavy rain the airfield has strong lighting and a well-designed ILS.
Whether you want to just fly in for a short stop over, or a long weekend, Mountain Retreat has it all. There are currently six log cabins, which allow you to park your aircraft meters from your door, or for the visitor, six general parking spots are on hand.
The runway being 4500 feet long gives you the freedom to access the airfield with almost any GA aircraft.
Flying into the airfield throughout the seasons is an amazing experience. As the seasons change the trees change color, and the grass changes from healthy lush grass in winter, to a dried pale brown in summer.
