SimAirline.net added ANA Virtual to its operations as its tenth virtual airline yesterday. ANA Virtual is centered on All Nippon Airways, but also includes the operations of sister airlines and subsidiaries ANA Cargo, Air Nippon, and Nippon Cargo Airlines. ANA Virtual was decided to be added because of the lack of an Asian-based carrier in SimAirline.net, as well as to take advantage of the growing popularity of flight simulators in Japan and the rest of the Asia/Pacific region. ANA Virtual opened less than two weeks after the last SimAirline.net opening, Concorde Virtual.

"SimAirline.net is very excited to add ANA Virtual to our organization. We had long been considering adding an Asian virtual airline to the organization, but were unsure which would be the best for our operations," said SimAirline.net owner Aaron Robinson. "Given our already-existing extensive international connections to Japan, it was only logical to add ANA to our organization, since it controls half of the Japanese domestic market."

SimAirline.net has been in existence since February 2002, and operates ten other virtual airlines within the organization, the first of which opened in March 2000. ANA Virtual is located at http://www.simairline.net/ana/
