Colin Hunt joins Aer Lingus board

Posted on
Former Goodbody economist Dr Colin Hunt has been appointed to the board of Aer Lingus after being nominated by the Finance Minister Brian Cowen.

Dr Hunt is currently working at Australian bank Macquarie Capital. He was previously special adviser to the Ministers for Finance and Transport.

Aer Lingus also said Chris Wall, who is already a non-executive director, had also been designated by Mr Cowen as a nominee of the Minister. The Minister will also re-nominate Francis Hackett when his current term expires on February 9.

The Government is entitled to nominate three board members, but had been criticised by the opposition for leaving two of these positions vacant.
