Gmax Mirage F1 Package. This is a Gmax rework of my Mirage F1V2.0. It is a complete package with a simple 2D panel, sounds and With their permission, I've also included the gauges from Romain Lucas and Laurent Lucas's SUPER ETENDARD. There are 4 F1 versions within this package (VR cockpits are all CR models). They are the F1C, F1AZ, F1CR and F1CT. I've added all new textures, a new custom soundset and added many Gmax features to improve realism. One of the major improvements to this plane is the addition of an ALL NEW more realistic looking Virtual cockpit. There are 6 loadout configurations and 6 paint schemes. In the F1C models you can view the entire aircraft from the VRcockpit. Allowing for great Active Camera shots. I've included 3 Active Camera preset files for this purpose.

This is a much revised version of my previous upload of this aircraft for FSX (Simviation webmaster please delete my first upload!!)

This aircraft worked great in FSX but the panel and VC were mot compatible. I have now edited the VC and 2d panel using FS Panel Studio and =manual editing to include XML gauges. This superb aircraft will now work in your FSX without incompatible gauges. OK all gauges if you are asked.

Glass: - visible.

All else seems OK. This is a payware quality aircraft!

This aircraft is not modified in any way. Full credit to the great talents of Xavier Gassó the creator of this great aircraft.

FSX Compatible & tested. Thumbnails added.

I found this great bird in my FS2004 collection & as it works fine in my FSX SP2 I have tested it & added thumbnail to make it easier for FSX users.

Editorial

The Mirage F1 is one of those aircraft that I’ve never had much time to mess around with, purely on the basis that it has always felt a bit to excessive for me. However, I was notified of this release and was recommended that I try it out as soon as I possibly can.

This piece of GMax creation certainly looks wonderful, with so many little features and changes to the model making it really stand out, but how does it handle itself in the heat of battle?

Performance

The performance is pretty immense, to be honest. The level of speed that this aircraft can pick up is pretty dizzying as well, so make sure you are ready for a flight experience that leaves the majority of conventional flights standing! This package comes with new 2D panels as well which makes controlling and changing the flight much easier than before. These new performance enhancing changes also ensure that you’ll have much greater functionality than you might have at this moment in time normally.

The new performance changes improve the realism of your flight, which is obviously a very important feature for anyone who wants to enjoy a flight that feels genuine, engaging and unique. More importantly, though, the realistic changes to the cockpit look brilliant but will more or less change how you fly your aircraft in general.

It comes with six unique loadout configurations, too, meaning that you can fly this aircraft with all of the usual features that you would have hoped for. In terms of performance and management in the skies, this aircraft offers you elite levels of control whilst making sure you can easily manage even the most miniscule of features as you fly. Despite being an absolute machine, this is very easy to perform with!

Portrayal

The portrayal, helped by the introduction of some fresh and exciting new textures, makes the aircraft look like a whole new prospect. The models are brilliantly designed and carry all of the main active camera slots that you would hope for, giving you unique and charming views as you cut through the skies.

In more or less every other aspect of the portrayal – from the XML gauges to the new VC – this feels like a pay ware piece of hardware. It’s a near-enough perfect rendition of the real thing and should be on your list of things to try out the next time you want to use some military hardware.

The quality of the hardware is very impressive, and the attention to detail and realism equally so. If you like the Mirage or you want to try it out for the first time this might be the best value package for FSX for this particular piece of kit.

I have the steam edition. The plane sounds and looks amazing. It flys great. I'm glad your 2d cockpit is nice since the vc is just as everyone has said with the black glass you can't see out of. I give it a 4 out of 5 for that. I wish you could do half increments i'd give a 4.5. The airplane is amazing besides that issue.

Well, i'd love to give a rate of 10 to it, except that... I can't see through the window!!!! If anyone tells me the trick to see out through the cockpit glass, I'll ove to update my rating very close to 10: the graphics quality is superb, with FS 2004, some freinds just tought one of my captured screen was a real photograph!
