Airbus met A380 delivery schedule target in 2008

At the very end of 2008, Airbus managed to meet its full-year Airbus A380 delivery target.

On December 30, 2008, Emirates received its fourth A380 aircraft, bringing the total delivered to 12 units.

The first A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines on October 15, 2007, with five more delivered to the airline in 2008, and Qantas also received three A380 aircraft in 2008.

The in-service A380 fleet has now flown more than 21,000 revenue flight hours in more than 2200 commercial flights carrying more than 890,000 passengers.

Orders for the aircraft stand at 198 from 16 customers.
