The AirWeGo Virtual Airline Group is a virtual airline incorporating both fixed and rotary winged operations primarily based in the UK. Currently in its ninth year of operation the Group has a history spanning five versions of flight simulator with over 30,000 hours logged by pilots who have passed through the ranks since February 2000.
Operations are currently split into two divisions. AirWeGo and VertiGo.
AirWeGo is the fixed wing division with bases within the UK at Manchester, Humberside and Gatwick Airports. Destinations across the UK & Europe are served using a varied fleet of ten aircraft provided by Airbus, ATR, BAe, Boeing and Embraer. Long haul destinations are also served from Gatwick and Manchester.
VertiGo offers rotary winged operations across the globe. Alaska, Hong Kong, Noway, Faroe Islands as well flights in the Southern Hemisphere from New Zealand. Flights are based around various scenarios including Oil Rig supply, Search & Rescue, VIP Flights and Freight Transport.
Historically the AirWeGo Group has operated various other divisions including AirWeCarGo, AWG Shuttle, AWG Executive, AirWeGo Caribbean and even a sea faring operation was launched on the 1st April 2002!
Following on from the recently held Annual General Meeting the current staff have committed themselves to improving on the current operation with a brand new web site planned, a fleet review, new schedules and forward planning for a historic tenth year of operation.
