Finnair suspends Chinese destination, cuts capacity

Posted on Mon, 04 May 2009 19:54:18 GMT
Finnair has pulled out from Guangzhou after three years of operations.

Finnair launched services from Helsinki to Guangzhou on September 2, 2005, after already serving Chinese destinations Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

During the current global economic downturn the airline is however not seeing sufficient profitability to sustain continued operation on the route.

The airline has also reduced frequencies on flights from Helsinki to Delhi and Bombay.
