Atlantic Northeast Virtual Airline Relaunch

Posted on Sun, 13 Sep 2009 11:58:57 GMT

Atlantic Northeast Virtual, originally founded in early 2003, relaunched it's web site today after the most significant series of changes in the airline's history. The web site was originally taken down on January 6th this year to allow for the major upgrade and move to a new domain.

The web site now features a fully automatic pilot registration and reporting facility, internal mail, and pilot forum. The relaunch also sees the airline open it's fifth hub, and the first English hub ouside London at Bristol Lulsgate Airport, for which excellent freeware and payware scenery is available.

The airline has maintained its laid back attitude to virtual flying, allowing it's members to add a little more structure to their hobby, without too many rules and regulations.

The airline's official relaunch date is March 2nd 2009, but pilot applications are now once again being accepted.

Information from website:

Welcome to Atlantic Northeast Virtual Airlines. We are a major UK based virtual airline, who have been flying since 2003. We operate a large and varied fleet of aircraft, all of which are designed with frame rates in mind. Our routes can be flown on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, 2004, or FSX. We like to take a relatively laid back approach to virtual flying, allowing our pilots to enjoy the structure associated with flying for a VA but without too many rules. Pilots with little or no experience are particularly encouraged to join, since our route structure allows new pilots to move quickly up the ranks and into management positions.
