New Airport & Navaid Data Available For X-Plane

Posted on Mon, 09 Nov 2009 02:38:25 GMT
This is data cycle 2009.04 valid from 09 Apr 2009 to 7 May 2009. This is the first release to include up-to-date data from the FAA national Flight Database (NFD). At this time we are including updated fixes, NDBs, VORs and DMEs for North America from the NFD. There are also many other global airport and nav-aid updates from other X-Plane users, including a lot of new airports in South America.

Two different versions of the data are available, for X-Plane 8.61-8.64 and for 9.00 and later. Please make sure that you download the correct version of the data (each data version has the same content, just different file and folder names). These files will work under Windows, Mac or Linux. If you wait until the next release of X-Plane, then this data will be installed automatically if you use the "X-Plane Installer" to update your installation. This avoids the need to download my files and install the files into the correct folders! But, if you want the data immediately, then download my files and install them into the appropriate folders.

As always, get the new data from my new web site at: http://data.x-plane.com

Please join me in thanking those who keep contributing to the X-Plane database. Helpful feedback is always appreciated. Please also let me know what you think of the new web site.
