Flight sim developer UK2000 have announced another fine scenery project covering VFR Airfields in the United Kingdom. They have announced Volume 2 of their VFR Airfields package. Volume 2 covers a huge collection of 81 airfields around central UK. Each airfield featured photographic ground scenery for ultimate realism. UK2000 Scenery announces the release date of 12th July for "UK2000 VFR Airfields Vol2" for FSX. This volume covers central UK, and has a massive collection of 81 airfields. Made to a good level of detail and accuracy, each airfield is filled with additional FSX objects and specific purpose made objects. The airfields also include a photo ground image, which is designed to blend both with the default FSX terrain and the Horizon simulation 'GEN-X' photographic scenery. As well as normal airfield scenery you get FSX animated road traffic around the vicinity of the airfield, FSX flying birds, General aviation AI traffic (optional) and Static aircraft models (optional).
Most of the buildings are either new or have be reworked from the older range "UK2000 part1-8". We have tried to update both the airfields and the ground photo image to reflect how the airfields are now in 2009. Some of the airfields also include night textures and runway lightings. We have included the large airports Stansted, East Midland, Luton and Birmingham. These are not as highly detailed as in our Xtreme range, but are still very good versions. Users have the option to deactivate any of 81 airfields for compatibility reasons.
Purchase price is £29.99, with a £5 discount for old "UK2000 Part1-8" users. CDROM version will also be made by Horizon simulation. For news on UK2000 VFR Airfields vol2 and more products, please visit SimShack.net

Gary,
I have returned to flightsim after a two year absence, having given up the expense of flying a Cherokee. Some years ago I bought your 2000 airfields part 1 and then bought parts 1, 2 and 3 on one cd, which worked very well in MS Flight sim 2002.
I have now upgraded to FSX on windows 7 64 bit and am thinking of installing VF R Photographic Scenery for Southern England. Can I get from you the appropriate airfields for this area and will they blend in well to the scenery?
Very much look forward to hearing from you.
Patrick
