It is very surprising that Flight Simulator 2004 is still a strong entity in the Flight Simulation world! I have recently dived back in to this program, head first and I am having a blast with it! I still love Flight Simulator X and not with standings its Quirks and fatal errors and run time errors on line, it is still a good program!
I have recently used Flight Sim host Spy and have found many session if not most of them using Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight! Why is this, one might ask? Well its for the most part bug free and when asked, most on line user will say they get great frame rates and smooth flight. I feel that because of the way Flight Simulator 2004 is coded. It is more system friendly as compared to flight Simulator x on older systems. When using third party add ons it can look similar to Flight Simulator X. I am a scenery designer for both, FSX and FS9 and I find it very rewarding to create scenery for FS9 and easer, I might add.
Flights Simulator 2004 can still be used on line through Direct connect and you can find servers all over the place, supporting it.
The plus side is it is not on Game spy; Which to me is a BIG plus.
You can google search Flight sim host spy and get this free download. I use it for Flight Simulator X, also and this way you bypass the game spy disconnections! I feel until a new Simulator comes out by whom ever, Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight Will be a strong performer in the Flight Simulation community, World wide.
