British Airways 12,000 members of Unite voted for a second time after their first try to strike was blocked in a legal battle.
The strike was blocked after the union had balloted members who no longer worked for the airline. Unite lost a second legal case on Friday when it failed to argue the changes to working practices and reductions in crew numbers were considered to be unlawful. However, last year the cabin crew voted by more than nine to one in favour of strikes in a huge turnout of over 80%.
British Airways has been training other staff, including pilots, to take the place of cabin crew if the new strike goes ahead.
