Canadian Express is VATSIMs first ever float plane virtual airline operating out of British Columbia and Northern Washington. We operate closely with Vancouver FIR and offer our pilots a Teamspeak server, advanced PIREP system, freeware aircraft downloads, and a courteous, professional staff and colleagues.
Unlike many VA's operating on VATSIM today that fly huge jets on long hauls with hundreds of routes world-wide, we have one hub at Pitt Meadows (CYPK) and a full schedule of charter flights, with the option to expand to any number of airports in the area. Canadian Express brings its pilots back to what flying is all about; VOR flying, VFR landmarks, NDB approaches, and of course training on all of these techniques. Skill is not required, just the willingness to have fun and learn a little.
Our Mission Statement: Realistic, Challenging and Fun. We won't be flying heavy aircraft, we won't be building hours for the next checkride and we won't be looking for realism based on the tail paint on our plane. You "Apply" for a job with Canadian Express and we'd go over your VATSIM logbook and find out where you want to be. No more starting at the bottom rung of the corporate ladder. You love flying float planes and have hours in them? Why make you start out at the bottom?
We do have a large fleet with various aircraft like some "charter" VA's, instead we have three aircraft types that you would find at a mid sized company.
We are also hiring training co-ordinators and other possible staff positions, drop our HR department a line at: hr@canadianexpressva.org.
