There is also an expanded option. That one is much more robust and includes cargo variants, tanker and AWACS.
There are different system requirements for the Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X downloads, though not all of them differ. The only varying requirements is that the Flight Simulator 2004. It requires that Microsoft Flight 2004 be installed. Simulator X needs Microsoft Flight Simulator X with SP1 and SP2 installed.
