For those unfamiliar with RAF, it is a base that was constructed about 80 years ago, during the early part of the 20th century. When it first opened, it was used as a RAF Bomber Command training center. It was available in this capacity until World War II ended. After this point in time, the RAF Abingdon would join the RAF Transport Command. It also became a top-flight parachute training school.
The history of the RAF Abingdon, which is located to the southwest of Oxford, is quite rich. In the 1950s flying units were transferred out. In their place came the No. 24 and No. 47 Squadrons who flew the Handley Page Hastings Markes 1, 2 an 4. Just a few years later, those squadrons exchanged the Hastings and received the Blackburn Beverley.
In 1975, the RAF Abingdon once again experienced another big change. It was would become a maintenance field. Personnel began to service a number of aircraft, including the Blackburn Buccaneer MK. S2B aircraft, SEPECAT Jaguar and the BAE Hawk. 1992 marked another important date in the history of the RAF Abingdon. This time, the news was unfortunate. The station would be shut down.
The buildings found on the RAE Scenery package field were designed especially for it. Players won’t find any default Flight simulator X buildings. Hangars can be found on the airfield, as can photo-textured buildings. Administrative, domestic and technical buildings are also included. There are no Ai aircraft anywhere in this scenery package.
Individuals interested in the RAF Abingdon Scenery package, will be able to purchase it with affordable ease. It is also possible to download it immediately. Individuals that are looking for a quality scenery collection should consider purchasing this one.

The RAF Abingdon Scenery package can be downloaded immediately. Compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, this particular add-on has a relatively small filesize, only 13 MB. Individuals that purchase the RAF Abingdon Scenery for FSX will find that it includes, amongst other things, a RAF airfield.

Having a bit of trouble with this product, installed fine but when i try to launch a flight from one of the hard standing on the airfield I get a collision error, is there something I haven't looked at?
Regards
Pete
I have just faultlessly installed this add-on which looks great but I am having the same problem as Pete. Also if I launch from a neighbouring airfield i.e. Benson I cannot get near Abingdon because I fly into a 'building crash' even when some miles away. Advice please
Regards Bill
