IVAO Announces FSWeekend Plans

Posted on

The FSWeekend is on its final approach. As every year, IVAO will be represented the 7th and 8th of November in the National Aviation Theme park Aviodrome, Lelystad. Members from all around the globe will travel to the polders of the Netherlands to join and to participate with this event.

For the first time in the history the IVAO stand is supplied with an internet connection. This means that ATC on Lelystad, Schiphol and Amsterdam Radar will be provided live from the Aviodrome between 9:00 and 16:00 UTC. As probably many of you don't have the chance to come to Lelystad, we would like to invite you to join the Event from your homebase. Fly VFR to Lelystad with a classic aircraft to join the 'Oldies Fly-In', or fly IFR to one of the busiest airports in the world, Schiphol.

Next to the on-line activities, a seminar about the future of Flight Simulator will be held on both days. The participants to this seminar are some well-known names in Virtual Aviation: Mathijs Kok (Aerosoft, Flight simulator 2012 and Rise of Flight), Francois Dumas (FS-Support.com), Arno Gerretsen (NL-2000 scenery design team and FSDeveloper) and of course senior IVAO staff members. The seminar will be recorded, and could be seen on the IVAO web site after the event.

On behalf of IVAO we hope we can meet you in person or on-line 7th or 8th of November.
