Posted on

Newport announced on the 10th of January 2010 that it has released Photo Real San Antonio.  A ground texture replacement package, Photo Real San Antonio X overlays the default terrain with satellite image textures of high quality. This scenery covers the city of San Antonio, Texas and the neighboring suburban area.

Key features of Photo Real San Antonio X are as follows:

  • Satellite images for day, night, dusk, and dawn
  • A water mask that displays photo real water, which shows actual FSX water, not just a flat surface picture of water
  • Satellite textures which are autogen-free to ensure no impact on frame rates
  • A blend mask to ensure that the Photo Real textures blend with the default scenery for a smooth transition back to default scenery

Photo Real San Antonio X is designed for FSX. It is available as an instant download file.
