PMDG BAe Jetstream 4100 Released by Aerosoft

Posted on

In January 2010, the developers at PMDG announced their new product, BAe Jetstream 4100 (J41), which has now been published by Aerosoft.

It took PMDG nine months of dedicated, hard work to reproduce this regional turboprop aircraft for FSX. In line with PMDG’s traditional style, maximum effort was applied during the development phase of BAe Jetstream 4100. PMDG is confident that the J41 will quickly become a customers’ choice for regional turboprop simulation in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

The external model was precisely modelled to the finest of details, and it has been painted using high resolution photo real textures. Using the Ramp Manager, external objects can be shown or hidden, and this adds to the realism and immersion of the product – ground power unit (GPU), baggage cart, cones, stanchion with rope, baggage in baggage compartments and passengers.

The J41 has animated parts which were carefully researched and realistically reproduced to match their operation with the actual aircraft. It also features animated gear, gear doors, flaps, spoilers, oil cooler flaps, passenger and cargo doors, AOA indicators and flight deck crew – all of which are authentic.

It also has a dynamic and fully interactive virtual cockpit which was designed using the same proprietary techniques used to develop previous PMDG product lines which have won many awards. The J41 and its fully interactive and animated 3D virtual cockpit offer the user an opportunity to enjoy the feeling of truly "being there".

Key features of the J41 are as follows:

  • Accurate external model
  • External objects
  • Aircraft animations
  • Fully interactive, dynamic Virtual Cockpit
  • Photoreal textures
  • Detailed aircraft systems
  • All avionics
  • Fully immersive sound
  • Add-on liveries
  • Detailed Icing model
  • Speed cards
  • Interactive Load sheet
