The first “Enhanced” package which X-Aviation and RealScenery will release is Northern California. The Northern California Enhanced package will include approximately two-thirds of the state of California. The next scheduled released is Southern California. With these two releases, the entire state of California will be covered.
The “Enhanced” packages will include higher resolution imagery compared to past standard packages. It will also include car, road and traffic improvements, as well as airport alignments throughout the whole package. The package offers airport / runway / taxiway alignment – all airports within the package will line up right over the imagery.
Also include in the “Enhanced” products will be night lighting produced by custom software which is designed to match the underlying terrain. This includes roads, parking lots, sports parks and proper differentiation between rural and urban areas. “Enhanced” brings in various new features and technology never seen before in X-Plane.
The creators of “Enhanced” indicated that this new product line has been carefully put together by the best designers in conjunction with developers at Laminar Research in order to ensure the product was done right.
