FlightGear 2.6.0 Released

The FlightGear development team has released FlightGear 2.6.0, a free, open-source flight simulator.

FlightGear 2.6.0 includes several new features, enhancements, as well as bug fixes to the earlier version of the program. The main improvements from FlightGear v2.4.0 include improved usability, easier graphics tuning, less AI aircraft load times, and more sophisticated AI aircraft.

Founded 15 years ago by a team of volunteers, FlightGear has one common goal: to create superior, realistic flight simulator products that are free to users. FlightGear features a worldwide scenery database, more than 400 aircraft, a flexible aircraft modeling system and a powerful scripting language, among others. As a community-owned, open-source product, everyone can contribute, and the product is free.
