QuickPlan Released on Android, iPad and Mac

Posted on Wed, 11 Jul 2012 06:00:00 GMT

FSWidgets has announced the release of QuickPlan on three platforms, namely Android, iPad and Mac. Quickplan supports three flight simulators, namely FSX, FS2004 and X-Plane.

QuickPlan is a flight planner that you can use to generate flight plans in native FSX, FS2004 or X-Plane formats. With this tool, you can easily generate flight plans, save, and copy them to simulator's flight plans folder.

This tool is a visual touch enabled flight planner – this means you can tap into the map to chart your route – you identify the departure airport, any in-between waypoints, and the arrival airport.

If you want to adjust your flight plan or remove any intermediate waypoints, you can do that, and then save your final flight plan in your preferred format. You will save the plan flights in the app Documents folder, and you can export them using the iTunes File Sharing feature.

If you are a bush pilot who uses small landing strips or unlicensed airfields, this tool is also ideal – you can create your entire route without reference to any official airports or navigational aids.

QuickPlan features a new mapping engine and comes with a dozen worldwide map styles.
