Produced between 1966 and 1983, the Cessna 188 is a family of light agricultural aircraft produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company. There are several variations of the 188, including Agtruck, AGwagon, Aghusky and Agpickup. The Cessna 188 was flown for the first time in February 1965 and entered production in 1966.
The primary use of the aircraft was for agricultural purposes – but was used as glider and sailplane tugs in subsequent years. About 3,975 Cessna 188s were built, of which 49% were Agtrucks, 40% were Agwagons and the remainder were Aghuskies and Agpickups.
