Rise Of Flight: The First Great Air War is a stand-alone air combat simulation that precisely portrays aviation during the Great War, allowing users to fly famous aircraft such the Fokker Dr.1, Sopwith Camel, S.E.5a and Albatros D.Va, among others.
One of the most essential things in Rise Of Flight version 1.011 is that it allows users to play the game offline, without being connected to the internet. However, internet connection will still be needed for registration, creating new account and for online multiplayer game modes.
The offline mode of this game features new single player options: "Quick Mission" and "Campaign". "Quick Mission" allow pilots to explore the "Rise of Flight" and hone their flying and fighting skills. "Campaign" is a series of single player scenario missions which are grouped by similar conditions.
This version of Rise Of Flight offers a free campaign, allowing users and third-party developers to create their own campaigns. Developed by "Rise of Flight" community members, the campaign takes users through essential combat events of the 94th squadron, also known as "Hat In The Ring".
Another new feature with is version is a new aircraft which is rolled out to the airfield, namely Fokker D.VIIF. This aircraft is equipped with a BMW engine and customized carburettor which is particularly designed for high altitude fighting. With better high altitude control, the D.VII offers better performance compared to other aircrafts.
This version of Rise Of Flight also features new visual effects and this helps the game to remain competitive with the graphics of games in other genres. A user can activate the HDR effect to enhance graphics.
