3D Train Stuff, Llc. is proud to announce the release of a new add-on called the Santa Fe 3751 Over Cajon Pass for our Cajon Pass route, and Microsoft Train Simulator.
This stretch of track in Cajon Pass thread in between the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains, on its way from Barstow to San Bernardino. This sub division-hooks up with the Tehachapi Sub-Division and also Death Valley & Western at Barstow.
Now, 3DTrainstuff added this section of Southern California for train enthusiasts everywhere. Santa Fe was the first company to use this particular area all the way back in 1913. Originally, the grade was about 3%. Back then, shorter trains were the norm, so the areas stayed in the same shade all the way to the 1970s.
Around that time the longer he be nine car piggybacks required the area to be re-graded. Also, the original track included a sharp 10 degree curve, which was removed. In 1966, Southern Pacific added what they called the “Palmdale Cutoff”, another track west of column pass that added another way to get goods from Northern California into the Los Angeles basin.
On top of adding the new track, 3DTrainstuff added new locomotive models as well. There is that Amtrak's 60-foot express car, 57-foot PFE and SFR Reefer cars, as well as a freight set from Boeing. It includes the skybox, fuselage, and tail cars. Why run the risk of flying the plane where it needs to go? We all know that the train is the best way to get things around!
This particular expansion, 3751 Over Cajon Pass, also includes a Kansas City Chiefs passenger trains set. The expansion is available for $23.15, online at 3Dtrainstuff.com. There is even an observation platform view so you can see the cars from up close. And lastly new work orders are included in the expansion. The orders range from 1986 to 2002 with the variety of tasks the player can complete from helping setup a new depot to visiting a dedication ceremony.
