Icarus Releases Yak-1

Now available from Icarus Golden Age is their FS2004/FS2002/CFS2 version of the WWII era Yakovlev Yak-1 Russian fighter. Included are six skins with multiresolution and virtual cockpit. Before the design on the Yak-1 started, Alexander Yakovlev and his design Bureau had been working on light transports and trainers. Yakovlev based his desing on three starting points, The Klimov M-106 Vee engine rated at 1,350 hp (1.007 kW), concentration of light armament in the forward fuselage, and a simple structure to ensure easy maintenance in the field.
