MoTIS Announces Lifting Body Project

Posted on Fri, 30 Apr 2004 00:11:44 GMT
MoTIS Industries has announced that they are working on lifting body air/spacecraft under the name Sky Streamer Project. This concept aircraft is intended to show how mass transit space transport could be done. For more information, click on Read More. The lift body programs of the past were conducted in order to gather data for designing the space shuttle program and MoTIS has the exact same mission but with a few very different twists! What would the present state of space travel look like if lifting bodies became the primary mode of transport into the heavens? After all,the space shuttle system that we are currently using is more or less an extreme elevator ride to the stars and an expensive one at that! So if there were a cheaper and more efficient way to get there then we would take it!! Well the SKY STREAMER PROJECT is designed to test just that theory.

The SS PROJECT as it is called by MoTIS engineers is a dynamic program to take the road not taken and implement the lifting body technology to a new height. This would create a whole new infrastructure to integrate lift body technology into mass transit space transport!

One of our first of seven neo concept designed Lifting bodies to preview is the:

MLB-J240 HELEON/BRICK LAN

The SS PROJECT will be outlined in a MoTIS style research paper in a few days and this will fully explain the testing and design goals of the program.
