Goto to the Vista site and run the upgrade advisor Arrow

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/default.mspx

The Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor beta will help you determine if your current PC is ready for an upgrade to Windows Vista. It will also help you to choose the edition of Windows Vista that's right for you. Download the Upgrade Advisor beta and run an analysis of your current PC and use the detailed feedback to ensure that your PC is ready for the edition of Windows Vista that you want.

As for DX10,nobdy can be sure,as DX10 is a whole new way of graphics handling.Maybe a driver update, but I wouldnt hold my breath

I still haven't seen a card that said DirectX 10 will show on it. All later cards will run on DirectX 10 but will not use it's new graphic abilities.

    Show me the card...please.

nVidia is saying that DX10 WILL RUN on a 6 or 7 series of card, but they are not MADE FOR DX10. Laughing Very Happy

MS has not released the system specs for FSX yet so all we can do is guess at the type of computer you need.

All they have said is that It will use DirectX 10 which will only work with Windows Vista and those cards have not yet been made.
As with this sim (FS9) the most powerful computer wasn't enough to run it when it came out so we must assume that we won't be able to run it "full out" with the most powerful computer that's available at this time either.

Are there downloads for FSX available yet, hardly, the SDK's will be either a separate download or will be with the Deluxe version of FSX.
Many of the present add-on that you now have may work with it, but I doubt that scenery will, just aircraft...that only my opinion.
