Hi , ive been onto Virtual Red Arrows.co.uk and Diamond9.co.uk and by far www.VirtualRedarrows.co.uk is the better team.
Just to make a point , Diamond9 dont even use hawks they use some weird prop aircraft ??? (whts up with that man)
ALso the people at Virtualredarrows.co.uk are so friendly and even though they arnt flying yet they make you feel really welcome and allways listen to you and your ideas.
They also told me about that they have some spaces for higher members who can commit more time to the company , shame i dont have the time to fulfill this, as i would love to be high up in a great organisation like them(just thought i would make that public as i am sure somone on this forum will be able to fullfill there needs) admin@virtualredarrows.co.uk i think there email is
Ok thats my contribution to this convo , ill finish by sayin , VirtualRedArrows.co.uk is by far the better of the two , stay well away from Diamond9

I am a representative of the above company. We are now using IBnet to display our show's. This program allows you to see the smoke from the BAe Hawks that we use in the Blue, Red and White colours. You are also able to see the animations of the aircraft.
We have a full team of 10 pilots as well as the c-130 supprot aircraft, however, we still need more pilots for another team as we are commencing on a world tour with IVAO and IBnet.
Thanks,
RED9 |

I realize this thread is a bit old, but it raises an interesting question.
Why are there so many VAs doing essentially, the same thing? _________________ CrashGordon

I guess the same reason as why so many stores sell the same thing _________________

True, but in that case, there are more customers than stores.
When I started Omega-Air, the idea was to create an international updated version of Air America. We would fly missions for for a variety of intelligence and law enforcement agencies, using standard airline operations for a cover. I created missions to check for arms smuggling in some regions, drug interdiction in others and anti-terrorism activities in others.
While I was doing that, others created missions regarding humanitarian missions, geological surveys and flying medical teams to various places. I permitted it since that was what they wanted, but quite honestly, that bored me to tears. Then I heard people saying we didn't accurately reflect real world airline operation. I responded by trying to morph into two divisions, one that was stadard airlint, and the other doing covert operations. That is a nightmare to administer.
The last straw came when I got complaints about forum ranks and promotions within the airline. I concluded that most people are not interested in flying for a VA, they want status and socializing.
I am about a week away from pulling the plug on the whole thing, revamping it into a private organization with no public recruiting whatever.
Sorry for the rant, but it was either that, or explode. _________________ CrashGordon
