Still haven't used any autogen, weather or water effects. I've mainly been trying to push the scenery settings up as much as
possible, and I've got them pretty high while maintaining fairly smooths frames (locked at 15).
Also trying to get the right screen resolution.

You can't see much of it in these screens, but I really dig the fact that a full mesh is included, with the option of setting its resolution.

    Cool

My machine is old, try it at the Window mode. I get rich colors that way.

A little more tweaking. Still no autogen, but the texture resolution is getting better.

On the verge of approaching the quality of my paywared up FS9, not too shabby. I look forward to DirectX 10.

And that's just the very default. I really miss FE, though.
Hopefully F1 will have a patch soon.

    Cool

I was surprised to be able to see the lines in the parking lot. I can turn the resolution up further, but I am not sure my system will handle it. Right now, texture resolution in FSX is better than I am getting in FS9. Of course, I have the autogen and scenery complexity down to zip. Crying or Very sad

    Thanks.

Well, that's really great news for me. Seeing your shots looked pretty much OK, I guess I'll be able to run FSX as well. my specs are 3,06 GHz, 1024 MB RAM and 128 MB graphics card (ATI Radeon 9700).

May I ask which framerate you get too? like 15-20 or something?

I have my limit set at 15, and see them between 9 and 15. The funny thing is that anything over 12 seems very smooth.

You may not be able to get all the sliders full up with your system, but almost certainly, you will get better results thatn I am.
