WOW, I tested that and it worked... Smile When I copied the 100% installed FSX when the error message showed I tried to run it before installing the demo. It didn't run and th error showed was MSXML4 SP2 not installed, but I do have it installed.

Well, anyway I installed the demo, copied the files and it went through to the activation screen... I'm happy.

But then a unexpected side effect, I have all the planes from the full version, missions, etc. but I noticed when it rebuilt the scenery database it was strangely fast. And now I know why, I only have scenery and airports around the Caribbean area. Can anyone help me with this new problem?

Pedro

Yea I think you need to install the scenery which I decided wasn't worth it since you manually have to update 800 frickin files.....You can update the scenery under settings

I'm not sure if the time limit is on there either. I might just buy the darn game Wink

Oh Yea I didn't have time to test this but I think you DON'T wanna copy the scenery.CFG (I think its .cfg) file from the demo over. I think by doing this you are going to get stuck with just the random crap scenery.

I'll test it now

This is what I did...

I found this solution on another site and it worked for me.

1. Start - Run - type msconfig
2. Under Start up - disable all
3. Go to Services tab and check "hide all MS services" - disable all
4. restart windows
5. install FSX
6. IT WORKS!
7. reinstall start up programs and services
8. restart windows and you should be good to go

Hope it works for you - only took me about 5 hours of work to figure that out.

Isn't disabling all services not good. Can't that keep your computer from booting? I'm not sure thats the right thing to do. Did you reboot in safe mode?

Figured it out.

Man that was a crazy solution but it worked great.

1 - Install FSX as you would normally.

2 - When it gets to the error 1935 message, don't click OK.

3 - Copy the installed game folder (all of it) to another folder.

4 - Let the installation roll back.

When I tried to execute the game at this point, it came up a error message about MSXML4 SP2 not being installed.

5 - Install the FSX demo.

I didn't try to execute the game at this point, maybe it works I don't know.

6 - Copy all the files except the FSX.exe from the demo root folder to the one you previously copied the FSX installation.

7 - Run the game. It should work now.

If you have problems with missing scenery, find the scenery.cfg file on the FSX root folder and replace the one in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

If you're lucky as I am Smile you'll have a functioning FSX program. The question is, can you uninstall the demo? I didn't try it so I can't answer that right now.

I have a solution.
i think this will be more easy than pedroīs solution

1-Before you install FSX, install the DirectX 9 found in the dvd

2-install FSX
3-When you get 1935 error, press ctrl-alt-del and close the installation. You donīt need to move the folder installation, let it in the same place
4-Copy the .dll files from crack.rar to FSX folder, if you have a razor1911 copy
5-Download this file : http://rapidshare.com/files/1085861/msxml4.manifest
this is the missing file of the installation, put it in the fsx folder
6-play the game

THIS WORKS!!!!!!!!

sorry for my english, iīm from brazil

very crazy solution... as long as it works.
I still don't get why you people all get an error at the end of the installation. Something must be wrong with the Windows settings, therefor the file can not be recognized.
But if it works now, I'll stop my investigation.

Hello all u people
Some days ago I found an easy solution..I ask to post here but someone deleted.
Still no solve to that bug about microsoft protection.
What I did is very the same as someone posted here.
1 - I install the game untill the error appears, then before I click on ok, I click rigth mouse button to "administrator of tasks" and click on " process" bar. Find the process called "IDRiver.exe" and " msiexec.exe and finish the process. The msx instalation windows will close.
2- From the msx demo intalled folder, find the file called " msxml4.manifest " and paste in the msx folder.
The game will work in full mode as complety installation.
Just register the game in the legal game or patch the copy game.
Hope this work for all those who still are trying to play this game.
Itīs a beautifull game and scenaries. The game deserves to buy. I did.
Sorry for my english.
Salute to all.
