I agree that these are great and also want to know your system specs BUT more importantly, what sort of frame rate are you getting here (and be honest please) No point in showing what it 'can really do' if the FR is the order of 4 or 5/sec.
Also, is it just me, or do the last two shots make it look like both sunrise and sunset over YVR at the same time (Looking West in end-1, and East in end)????? |

| I am not going to lie, FSX is a beast. Those shots were taken at maximum quality setting (1280x1024) at a frame rate of 5-8. However, I play the game at medium-high setting (autogen=normal, scenery=dense, cloud draw=60miles and everything else max) and get 10-20fps which isn't great, but playable. |

great shots, im waiting for someone to come out with a movie, i dont have the privelages to play the game with full graphics because my pc blows but thats the way it goes. Anyone create movies - or anyone know of any website that has fsx movies that arent officially released (ones that i havent seen)
btw, if you want some really nice mountain scenery with glacial lakes and thick alpine forests go to KJAC (Jackson, Wyoming) South of Grand Teton National Park, which is south of Yellowstone Ntl Park. |

Ouch, no wonder! I bet that every owner of FSX could achieve these graphics at those settings with those FPS!
The thread name is "the way its meant to be seen", surely that's misleading if your viewing it at 5-8 FPS as that is unplayable realistically, and modern PC's should show it in the teens at least. What filter level are you using, as it looks like the shadows are very jagged? |
