You can get awfully close to it! Try setting your clouds on "overcast". Then set your visibility on "2 miles". That's all there is to it. I always fly this way on my first try at a new route to sharpen my instrument skills. It's very challenging and the airport will look very eerie after you land. You won't even see the runway until about 1 minute to landing.
