chosing a route

I am becomming frustrated with flight simulator as there doesn't seem to be an option where you can set your departure and distance/time you wish to fly for and it chooses your destination.

I downloaded something in excel the other day but the macro doesn't work on it, rendering it not doing what it was designed to do!

Is there such a thing as a virtual airline or even some software which'll give me short haul flights of around 100nm starting from a UK airport (stansted even better!)
