Follow all the uninstall steps, there shouldn't be any thing left on the computer or registry of FSX. Then you cannot get that message.

If everything isn't cleaned out that doubles the chance that you'll get the same errors that you had before.

    Defrag, and install.

    1. Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
    2. Click the hard disk where Flight Simulator X is installed. (Your "C" Drive)
    3. Double-click the Program Files folder, and then double-click the Microsoft Games folder.
    4. Click the Flight Simulator X folder.
    5. Highlight it, click Delete.
    6. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the folder and its contents.

    To make it easier:
Open any folder and delete as much as you can at one time then go back for more...it'll take more time that way but it's easier for you to do.
Go to the recycle bin occasionally and empty it. It can't holds 15 gigabits.

    Next

    1. Click Start, and then click My Documents.
Right-click the Flight Simulator Files folder, if it exists, and then click Delete.

    Next

    1. Click Start, and then click Search.
    2. Click All files and folders.
    3. In the All or part of the file name box, type FSX.

Delete all that has to do with FSX

    Next

Remove registry entries for Flight Simulator X

Use this regvac. Use the demo version to clean the registry.

    http://regvac.com/fregvac.htm

Important use the novice button to do this if you don't you may crash windows.

Click start/programs/Microsoft Games and delete FSX, if it's still there.

Now you can reinstall, launch it without adding anything.

Let it clean up everything, it's safe to do so.
Things build up over the years, cleaning it is good, I use the full version every week.

Don't forget to defrag before you reinstall the sim, then defrag again before you try to launch it for the first time.

Again,I cant uninstall the sim cause i get a 1605 error,I not gonna risk to really mess up my comp.Ill stick with FS2004,but that has a scenery error, refer to FS2004 general section to see all the pics to my prob.this error will still let me play on the sim, just the scenery is messed up Confused

I don't understand how you can get an error uninstalling unless you are leaving the disk in.

If both are messed up why not get some help, back up what you want to keep and reinstall Windows, it's been running along time.
Update it and reload the flight sims. it's something you enjoy.
