Great idea RadarMan, creating and managing a VA can see a daunting task without some direction _________________ Click below to support FSF:

Trust me. You don't want all the agggravation. You know, like web pages that stop working, forums that can't make up their minds whether to function. Tech support, whose motto is, "We don't know how to fix it, 'cause we don't know how it works". Applicants that apply a dozen times, with a hotmail address when the page says in red, bold type that freemail addresses are not accepted. Finally getting to fly and having the dog indicate he wants to go out to empty the tank, or the other half wants to go shopping. _________________ CrashGordon

Oh no, If only I had found this before I began with building a VA. This is a great idea. It will help all of us out there who dont know what we are doing when we think that we want to create a VA. _________________ <img src="http://redlineva.com/images/pilot_sigs/image.jpg" /> |

I wish i would of found this 3.5 years ago. I have a VA and still maintaining it for construction but i closed it 2 years ago from the public. I gave it 1.5 years and only got a high of 22 pilots then i started getting busy with site updates, fleet updates, route updates, ect.. I created a site in HTML/Javascript and once i learned php/mysql i started on the entire re-construction.
I had a President, Vice President, 4 Hub Managers with Assistant Hub Managers, Fleet Painter, Human Resource Manager, ATC Director and Manager, and Training Director/Manager. I had everyone ready to train a full roster of pilots from flying/atc and qualified hub managers to ask questions.
Its a good idea that i read this unlike the old simple how to info 3 years ago.
My VA was called Air Minnesota Virtual Airlines. I had it on EskyWorld.com at one time until they kicked us for being 1 pilot short of being active.
As a CEO, you can tell your pilots whats going on ect.. but most of them wont listen and they will usually quit once they hear some news that they dont like, As a more experienced CEO at age 18 now, unlike age 14.5 i will be re-opening my VA. I am expecting it to re-open on June 21st. Once we are open i will be looking for a Partnership with another VA or Organization.
If you have any questions or are interested in helping me re-open this VA, Email me at amnva@charter.net

Toby L. Turlington
