I have a Elite Pro Panel SE, and Cirrus rudder pedals, and GFforce FX video card. I have been running Elite software for several years. The system is fantastic, and the realism of the flight controls and IFR approaches never cease to amaze me. The only problem I have with the elite program is the lack of realism of the terrain etc, so I bought a copy of Microsoft 2002 looking for better visual effects on my VFR flights. I installed the drivers for the Elite Hardware and installed the FS2002 software. The terrain if very satisfactory in FS2002 but the handling of the aircraft is far from realistic. Very jerky and sometimes sluggish. I tried many different setting of the joystick controls and was not able to solve the problem. Could someone direct me to software similar to FS2002 that will give me more realistic aircraft feel with good graphics. I am a instrument rated pilot and am using the simulator to maintain my proficiency, as I go for long periods without flying.

Thanks for your reply. The computer is a emachines with Celeron 2.67Ghz processer, 504Mb of ram (upgradeable to 2G), 60Gb Memory. Am I correct to assume that my problem is insufficient RAM, and if so do you think 1.5G would be sufficient, or should I go for the full 2G

And about the controlls.. I don't know what's strange about the controlls..
I play FS2002 with just the default controls and nothing seems to be wrong Wink
