I thought I was through gathering ultra-high quality FSX military aircrafts and helicopters. I began an extensive search for civilian aircrafts with the quality of the latest payware military versions.
However.......
I keep getting THESE:
Nementh Designs CH-53 Super Sea Stallion
Unfolding the Sea Stallion
Aerosoft A-10 Thunderbolt II
Aerosoft SH-60 Seahawk
Unfolding
Hovering
In flight
Sorry guys for so many screenshots. Hopefully, I will TRY to find some ultra high quality civilian aircrafts from somewhere......... _________________ "In the absence of orders, find something and kill it." - Erwin Rommel |

that's one model we dont see enough of. i just wish some of the folks modelling BSG stuff would turn their attention to aircraft like that. |

I also have the Alphasim version, however it isn't as complex as the Nemeth Design version; all of the controls are done from INSIDE the aircraft!!!! You also start cold, and there is no "CTRL+E" or pre-selected switch to start the helicopter either. I took me 5 hours just to figure out the startup sequence alone!!!! I am still trying to figure out how to operate the hover controls and the winch.......

I've been looking for that A10 for fsx everywhere even in the other countries aerosoft displays, but the fs9 version keeps rearing its head. _________________

That's because it's an Abacus job. In the last A-10 picture you can actually see it because sunlight isn't as forgiving as the darkness of night. Explains why he was loath to reveal its origin.

Oh no....this isn't an Abacus plane..... I am so sorry not to respond to this. My mistake, fellas.
Here is the Aerosoft link to the A-10:

Trust me guys....I will NEVER TOUCH another Abacus aircraft until the start putting a whole lot more effort into their models. _________________ "In the absence of orders, find something and kill it." - Erwin Rommel |

Hahaha... GOTCHA! If begging, bribing, coaxing and coercing doesn't work, just try crude old provocation and your prey will bite
I'm not at all proud that I had to resort to this method... but you did finally respond, better late than never.
HOWEVER: I have you know that to find This Link isn't exactly rocket science and was the first thing I did waayyy back then when I thought you're trying to have a bit of fun with us.
Now, be a sport and clear up this mystery for us once and for all: Aerosoft A-10 Thunderbolt II -- what does the 'II' stand for... second version? FSX ready?
Where exactly on that Aerosoft page do you find an Aerosoft A-10 Thunderbolt II
Nowhere, because the only developer currently offering an A-10 Thunderbolt II is Abacus. Lo and behold
Having pondered on what has turned into a mystery of epic proportions for too long now, I can only conclude that the A-10 in your screenies is exactly the same I have ie. the fs9 version.
Tell me I'm right -- I know warlord too will sleep better after your confession.
So, what's it gonna be, the truth or your life...

Well Tailhook since you want to know..... this is a FS2004 aircraft (HINT: search in the 2004 aircrafts in Aerosoft), but everything works in FSX, even its auto installer. So its FSX ready, even if it doesn't say it.
Which brings me to the why its called the Thunderbolt II:
This is its Daddy: The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt
You will not find a freeware version for it...you will have to buy it. Once again (for the SLOW PEOPLE), here is the link:
http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?show80,4805602110
Hope that clears everything up..... _________________ "In the absence of orders, find something and kill it." - Erwin Rommel

Well... now you're REALLY pushing your luck
...you obviously haven't had the pleasure to fly the WWII FIGHTERS P-47
You see, amongst us aficionados that is the BEST P-47 currently available. And (for the SLOW PEOPLE) it is payware _________________
