    Very interesting this, I just wonder, I may get shot down in flames by someone more knowledgeable, but I have an ASUS K8N E Del Mobo, and when I built this, I installed two extra HDs (I do a lot of digi photo work), connected using the SATA option, boy what a surprise, you can set to boot from them, and the speed increase was most noticeable.

    These SATA options are great when space is an important issue. If required I could have up to 10 drives total internal, that does include the ide ones.

    And yes a good PSU, I use a Hiper 580, and it is so quiet, you need a stethoscope to hear if it is running, and the fan runs on after switching off, to cool the Unit down completely. Thoroughly recommended, will use them in future builds.
