I saw that, I get their (Cnet) newsletters. Very impressive.
I still think I'll opt out for Intel.
Who knows what they will do in the very near future and I like to go with brand names.

Yes it's a brand name but you'll find that many of the computer manufacturers use AMD as their second tier computers. Those are the ones they put on sale.
MS still builds for Intel, Wintel may be dead but it still lives.
It's the old Beta verses VHS or now Blue Ray and ?DVD-HTV? burners, everyone is choosing up sides on that one and you know there are going to be losers (consumers) that buy the wrong one.

If I were to pick between the two, I'd go for AMD - more grunt for less money. _________________

good on ya AMD!
I like the fact that their dual core processors are actually 2 physical processors in one unit rather than Intel's HT tech which is one physical processor with 2 logical _________________
