I've just had a very near miss with a 777. It passed from left to right in front of me at my cruise altitude. Scary stuff.

Hmm...that sounds familiar. And I'll bet you were also not quick enough to get a screen shot of it like I was.

Nope, was writing the post at the time :p I got quite a bit of turbulence up here too. There is a wind of 260 deg at 80m knots. I can see Lake Michigan now too.

Landed safely. I landed at o-hare on rway 32R.
The weather was heavy snow and I could not see the runway until 1/2 mile before it. I used the instruments and it got me there ok. An aircraft had to go around as it wa too close behins me.
If it interests anyone:
I used an A319 aircraft.
I cruised at 30000ft at 280 kts
I started with 40% fuel and finished with 20%
The distance was about 450 miles.
I started at 20:04 and landed at 21:22 my time (London GMT). |

Glad to hear you landed safely. I have yet to attempt a landing in slomething as large as a A319. I've been sticking to the GA planes for now until I'm quite comfortable with them.
