FREE WWII ONLINE SPECIAL EVENT TICKETS
Playnet/CRS are now offering gamers a chance to participate in a WWII Online Special Event without the need to purchase a copy of the game and without a pay-for-play subscription. They've set aside a number of slots in event frames for free ticket users. The number of slots varies from frame to frame. Availability is limited.

"DAYS OF EAGLES"- A Battle of Britain Scenario
Frame 1 November 8th - "Kanalkampf"
Officially the battle of Britain began on July 10th, when there was a gradual buildup of hostilities between the opposing air forces. The British admiralty decided that for matters of national prestige, the RN would sail the usual convoys around the coast of Kent. Lord Dowding, the head of Fighter Command was tasked with protecting these convoys with his meager resources. Dowding knew that this would only drag the RAF in a war of attrition that only the Germans could win, and committed the minimum forces to the job. [read more at events.wwiionline.com]
Frame 2 November 9th- "The Few"
After the protracted battles over the English Channel in July, it became obvious to the Germans that the RAF was not going to be drawn out to protect the convoys. Despite a great amount of effort on both sides, losses remained relatively low for the RAF for a disproportionately high rate of German aircraft shot down. On August 8th 1940, the Luftwaffe strategy shifted to a direct assault on British airfields and fighter production facilities. [read more at events.wwiionline.com]
