Christ people,
Listen to this shit,
I'm an FS2004 player, can I get an amen if I state "Shit, this multiplayer buisness is friggin' impossible!"
I belive I speak for a large quantity of people when i state this, engaging in multiplayer sessions troughout Flight Simulator 2004 is not easy buisness, perhaps Microsoft did this on purpose, only because they wish to keep people with "non-validated free email adresses" out of the game, á la this goddamn "VATSIM" buisness.
What we all need is a simple, clarified solution to this crap, my question is simple, how do i connect to a multiplayer game sucessfully, now i don't want anyone linking me to the tutotial set up by that site, because we all know NO ONE FINDS SERVERS VIA THE BUILT-IN FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004 SERVER BROWSER, CAN I GET AN AMEN!?
Please, solve this problem and get a bloody medal (not really). |

Hmmm hopefully i can answer your post requesting information about multiplayer sessions.
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshostspy/
Follow this link and download fshostspy. It will scan for all servers that are running fshost, therefore producing you with a list of servers to fly on and the relevant IP information. Once you see a server that you might like to fly in copy the IP address and put it in the multiplayer box in FS2004. Click search and the server should come up. Just click connect.
Hopefully this will help[/url] |

Well what type of multiplayer do you want to fly. You can fly just with anyone around on the internet through FS9, but you need to know the IP number, which is basically the name of a game room, in which flights are taking place. Open FS9, and go to multiplayer in the beginning menu before you click "Fly Now". Enter the IP in the top right hand corner and click search, and then click on the game room and click join.
If you don't know the IP number, or are just looking for a random game to join, you can go to www.zone.com which is basically a small forum of games where you can play FS9 multiplayer. At the top, there are the tabs: Home - Free Online - Downloads - Cash Games - CD ROM - Support. Click on CD ROM. It will then come up with a list of games. The 10th game down, is FS2004. Click it. Now, if a screen comes up like this:
...you need to register first. Register by clicking where it tells you (it is your MSN address and password if you have one, so if you have an MSN account, then just enter the details in there). Once you have done that and registered, click on FS2004 and the game room should come up. Go in the one with the most people and find a game by clicking on it, and click join, and your in!
You can use VATSIM, which is basically, a bit more advanced, and has ATC as humans which is more realistic. Go to www.vatsim.net and click on join now, about a quarter of the way up on the left. Click 'yes' on the next menu. Enter all of your details in the places shown. NB: You have to use an email from your ISP to register. Click register me. Then go here http://www.vatsim.net/prc/ and click on Vatsim 103 -- Software Setup and read through and download VATSIM 103f and 103g. You have to do that yourself, no one else can do the downloading for you. Read through the installation instructions and away you go!
