|
|
I didn't really have much time to spend with the new FSX until after the holidays, but I am getting back into the groove (last flight sim I had was FLY! pretty much just for instrument proficiency).
The new FSX has me flying VFR for a change and actually enjoying it.
Here are my first flight shots with FSX.
The first 4 are the approach (and surroundings) into Rio de Janeiro International in Brazil in a Beechcraft Baron 58 (Glass Cockpit).
(click on the thumbnail images to view the full image).
Here are some on the approach and landing at Hong Kong Int in the King Air.
I posted these in another thread in the general forum, before I realized there was a specific forum for pictures (sorry for cross posting). |

Here are some more...
More shots from Rio
Some Winter shots that I can't seem to remember where I was.

Fantastic shots, especially of the ocean, nice and clear. I'm looking forward to some more shots in the future, they're looking just fine! _________________

Nah, my computer is pretty average...with the one exception being my graphic card (which is now 8 months old and being left behind in the New Year...sigh, it was good while it lasted )

The only things I did was overclock an already fast GPU, and I tried out a few of the "tweaks" mentioned here at FlyAwaySimulation.
So now my graphic card can handle FSX well, but the computer itself TAKES FOREVER to load. It's like having a very fast motorcycle (my GPU)...with a "side car" (my CPU) connected to it, slowing my GeForce down.
I'm going to try and overclock my system's CPU (when I have the time). And add some more memory (when I have the money).
I hope, but doubt that I can gain as much performance as I was able to squeeze out of my graphic card...I guess we'll see.

Thanks VegasFlyer!
Speaking of Vegas, I used to do quite a few cross-countries to Vegas, when I lived in Prescott AZ. The only thing was I never bothered to stop and spend any time there...for two reasons, I don't gamble and I had no money to gamble even if I did.
But yes, I kind of regret that now.
My next two question is, what is that around & on the plane in your Avatar? It looks like birds...but if it is, that's probably the worst I have ever seen. |

the true is that the duck didn't fallow the controler order:
"...duck555, hold short rwyXX, boeing 737 on final.
And he decide to take off without the clearance...
NTSB is investigeting the incident.

LOL!...yeah, I was hoping no one would notice.
The images were actually taken during 3 different approaches...but, yeah I did the same thing with the Beechcraft Baron if you carefully analyze those photos also.
I've known two VERY good pilots that have landed with gear up, and I have been "spooked" ever since. It doesn't matter how good you are...in real life, if you do it...it would probably be better to take up knitting. Gear down early is not exactly a good habbit, but I guess it's better than the alternative. |
