| Is there a way to change the way FSX saves screen shots from .BMP's to .JPG''s? Because you would think saving it as jpg it makes the file size smaller? |

You'll have to convert them, yes jpgs are smaller than bmps.
Use
http://www.irfanview.com/ free.
I use screenhunter for screen captures, it does as many as you want and they're in jpg.

I know about converting them, I've been using Paint, and PSP for this purpose.
I just wished there was a way to change it in FSX. Whom ever made that decision to have them be saved as .bmp's should be fired. LOL J/K |

I know, I found it strange but then thought that it's the type of software the used for this.
I have another "game" and the screens come out as jpgs in the root (main) directory not bmps.
Odd but that why I use a screenshot capture utility instead of theirs.
Maybe it'll be fixed in SP8
