Hi
Would it be possible for someone to tell me what lights you would use at these different stages of the flight:
Taxi
Takeoff
Cruise
Landing
Thanks in advanced |

Taxi you obviously use your taxi lights and your navigation and beacon lights
Takeoff turn on your landing and strobe lights on and I think you turn the taxi light off
Cruise turn off your landing lights
Landing turn your landing lights on again
And taxi again turn off your strobes and taxi lights and turn on your taxi lights
These are guesses. I am not sure if these are 100% correct in the real world, please correct me if im wrong! _________________

The rotating beacon should be on whenever the engines are running. (Red flashy light)
Nav Lights and logo lights are generally on whenever the aircraft has power (not when using the battery.)
Taxi lights are for taxiing
Turn on the landing lights when you get takeoff clearance, off above 13,000 feet.
I'm not entirely sure about the strobe; I usually turn it on when I turn on the landing lights and leave it on until I touch down. |
