Tailhook i know for a fact that you did'nt need reminding of this, but unfortunately you were the only one to kindly reply (i know bel,Art and Spider would've if they were around).
Perhaps a lot of the youngsters just don't know that after the bloodbath that was called World War One the ceasfire was called and it would be at the Eleventh hour of the Eleventh day of the Eleventh month, or in the UK Remembrance day would be held at the nearest Sunday to that day, but still at 11 o'clock on 11th Nov a minutes silence will be held throughout the country! This is for ALL the nations that fought against tyranny and upheld the foundations of freedom.
I find the lack of replies to this deeply worrying and sad!
Here in the UK we have a tradition of wearing a Poppy (flower) for remembrance of all the lives lost of ALL nations, every petal of every poppy represents a single life , we're now told that this may be outlawed as it may offend other cultures!
Well if these cultures did'nt bother to fight for this freedom and now demand it , i'll be damned if they'll stop me wearing my Poppy to remember all those British, American,French,Polish,Indian,Pakistani,Israeli,Scandinavian,Belgian,Dutch,Burmese,Napalese,South African,Australian, New Zealanders and god knows how many other countries who fought for our freedom and gave their lives.
Mods, if you think this is too political then so be it, but it's true, if you delete this thread then so be it, but remember this, they died so we could have this forum!

Wait..What! Sorry my memory is fuzzy, I am in vatsim with 80 planes (IND flyin @ US Airways) and I was using InCabin Broswer. lol.
Story:
My Grandfather's father.
Got shot twice in the neck, and got hit by a grenade and also got gassed with open wounds. He got a bad infection but lived.
Until the day he died, he still coughed up the metal shrapnel. My dad didn't tell me the year he died, I don't think he even remembers still! _________________

i don't think that the lack of replies have anything to do with it....we all remember and are all thankful for what they have done for us.....maybe well at least with me i was for a loss of words on what to reply......i am thankful and will always remember the greatest sacrifice that they gave"there life" and to this day there are people out there fighting not only for us but the oppressed as well......right now my brother in law is in iraq for the 7th time......remember the old and be behind the ones fighting now.....let them know that they arnt fighting for nothing......god bless all of those who lost there life in all our conflicts old and new.....and give the ones fighting this day the strength, courge, and luck to return home to there families.... _________________ VP of Flight Operations
