Hi
I have a Q6600 quad cpu at 2.4 GHZ! Would i notice a difference if i upgraded the motherboard so that i could overclock the cpu to 3.0GHZ?

Since FSX does best with a high CPU it should run much better whenever you get a bigger chip.
The video card of course counts for much but not nearly as much as a powerful CPU.
If you have the money to spend, go for it but have at least 4gigs of ram also.

Hate to break it to you, but I seriously doubt you're going to get 3.0 ghz out of a 2.4 ghz chip. Not without some serious heat-management related modifications and hand selecting all your components with overclocking in mind. _________________ My real name's bob, feel free to use it!
